7/30/2002 The one thing about having a job that's in the public domain is that you're kinda obvious. A handful of times a year I get an e-mail out of the blue from an old friend I've lost contact with saying that they found themselves flicking through the mag, saw me and had to write. And then I smile widely for the rest of the day and try and remember stories involving them and how they made my life better in their respective periods. Just had an e-mail from Shimelle Laine, who has the dubious honour of being the first person I first befriended via the electric-info-ocean before meeting her in real-life. Blame MSCL. This is what she's up to at the moment. |
